Projektbeschreibung
The Desk Site Support Engineer performs activities associated with installing, maintaining and servicing computer-related products, including but not limited to desktop & laptop computers, printers, network devices, standard software, and low-end document processors at customer sites, Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) environments and/or depot locations, and may be directed by Help Desk, Service Desk or script using standard methods, techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Takes routine service calls and performs basic installations
- Provides hardware break-fix, troubleshooting, hardware component replacement
- Performs installs, moves, adds and changes in a client environment
- May provide basic deskside support of personal computers and associated software.
- Handles basic, non-complex products and/or problems
Knowledge and Qualifications
- Optional OEM certifications (Dell, Fujitsu, HP, etc.), other certifications and/or training as required
- General knowledge of desktop hardware and software including working knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Basic troubleshooting and repair ability
- Ability to test PC, Servers and associated peripherals and/or low end document processor products
- Ability to resolve very basic/non-complex problems as required.
- Basic mechanical skills and understanding of electro static discharge (ESD) procedures
