Designer, Wearables Job

PRODUCT DESIGNER (INDUSTRIAL), WEARABLES, needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Redmond, WA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Product Design experience, industrial, wearables or jewelry design
- Healthcare experience a plus!
- Experience working with engineers

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Researching industrial designs for truly medical versions of wearable's for health industry
- You will own the industrial design for wearables. From incubation, to proof of concept.
- Work with Mechanical engineers through all prototyping to load to mid volume production, including conceptual prototyping.
- Making creative briefs for your team.
- You will be the lone industrial designer on this project.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor of Design (or related degree). Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) a bonus.. 4+ years relevant work experience with proven creative depth and attention to detail.. Strong prototyping skills and at least one full cycle taking product from concept to execution to manufacturing.. Willingness to take ownership of design discipline within a largely engineering focused team, ability to ideate and drive scenarios and concepts that inspire new technology development, and experience working with engineers to take consumer products to volume production. database served websites.
- Must have the ability to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations into specific areas of product design to contribute to user features and functionality.
- Must be familiar with industry standards and trends.
- Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- We expect that you are extremely impatient and that you always prefer acting over deliberating, but are also an ardent perfectionist who will stop at nothing short of awesome. You'll be working within a very tight team, so as independent as you are, it's important to us that you play well with others and are ready for some serious fun.
- Finally, you should be able to see into the future (or at least be willing to intelligently guess at it).

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working with rich client or web applications is a plus.
- Experience working with health, wearable's, and/or consumer devices a huge PLUS.. Experience in graphic design, visual design, interaction design, and/or branding and marketing a plus.
