Design Engineers (4) Job

DESIGN ENGINEERS (4) needed for CONTRACT hire opportunities with Yoh's client located in RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Hands on design engineer with experience in using CATIA V5 to design aircraft passenger seats and seat components. Experienced in handling project from concept to production. Coordinates changes with other internal departments, vendors, and customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Reviews specification as related to assigned job.
- 3D modelling of sheet metal, metallic and plastic parts.
- Design simple mechanisms
- Surface modelling
- 2D drawings
- Preparation of top assembly and sub-assembly drawings
- Basic stress analysis
- Prepares lay-outs.
- Prepares structural sub assemblies and drawings.
- Prepares sketches for details.
- Checks all detail drawings as prepared by drafters.
- Reviews drawing package to assure conformance to requirements.
- Submits completed drawings to project lead for approval and release.
- Liaison for assigned task.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent based on education/training and/or experience. Three+ years related design experience required.
- Must have excellent drafting skills in CATIA V5
- Experience with Smarteam a plus
- Well Experienced in GD&T
- Modeling of large plastic injection molded parts eg shrouds, etc.
- Must have experience with commonly used materials in Aerospace industry including Aluminum composites and various types of plastics.
- Must have experience/knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
- Must be able to provide complicated lay-outs and program design studies.
- Must be able to interact successfully with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing departments.
- Must be able to function as part of a design team.
- Must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Must have demonstrated commercial aerospace interiors and/or Seating design experience
