Skills:

To support the build out of infrastructure for multiple large-scale web applications and high performance computing environments

Work with stakeholders to create detailed infrastructure architectural designs and plans for implementation

The scope of the work will be responsible for gathering requirements, creating as built work products, configuration validation, as well as other related day to day duties

This is a multi-facet environment and would require this individual to be nimble with both time and required skill-sets.

Experience:

Analyze, design, test, document, and implement storage solutions for continuous data availability, integrity, storage and protection
Participate in all phases of storage engineering, including design, analysis, and modelling at a highly technical level
Oversee and implement storage system upgrade and optimization strategies
Review capacity and system performance data, predicting trends and potential issues
Monitor and pro-actively identify any potential SAN performance issues
Configure and execute daily, weekly and monthly capacity and performance trending reports using 3PAR System Reporter external
Provision SAN storage to Windows, Red Hat Linux, VMware, and Solaris hosts
Participate in request triage; validating request detail and working with various support teams
Perform regular review of SAN, fiber channel switch, and host HBA configurations to ensure it meets vendors' best practices
Setup and take down SAN replications as needed

Experience:
Strong experience with HP 3PAR disk storage technologies
Strong experience with Brocade Fiber Channel Switches, HP Blade C7000, HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric, and Sun T5400 Series Servers
Technical knowledge of Sun Solaris, Red Hat Linux, Windows, and VMware operating systems
Ability to integrate highly complex storage hardware and software systems
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of complex storage systems
Ability to make tactical decision and suggest long term storage strategies

Desired Certifications and Qualifications:

* 10 years of SAN engineering, administration and support experience required

* SAN Certification required - HP 3Par preferred

* Microsoft/Linux/Sun/HP Certifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
