Responsibilities:
• Execute end-to-end Data Science Projects.
• Starting point will often be Data Exploration and Validation of new data sources
• Investigate the data using statistical analysis and/or machine learning techniques
• Formulate conclusions and discuss with stakeholders
• Setup and Maintain (Big-)Data Flows
• Using Python, Spark (scala/python) and/or Logstash
• Build Reports and Visualizations to expose our findings to the rest of the organization
Technical skills:
• Master's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• You have strong experience with high-level programming languages such as Pythonknowledge of algorithms spanning clustering, regression, classification, mixture models, etc...
• Knowledge of data extraction and ETL is a must
• Experience with command line tools, data visualization (D3, Shiny), and version control (i.e. git)
• Broad based understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem
• Experience with Open Source big data technologies like Spark, Logstash, Hive, Kafka, Storm
• Knowledge on Scala is an asset
Personal skills:
• You have a good knowledge of English; knowledge of Chinese and European languages is an asset.
