CREATIVE DESIGNER

If you can answer yes to both of these questions then BAE Systems, Maritime Services division are recruiting for a Creative Designer (printed material, photography, video editing) to be responsible for leading creative media initiatives and projects supporting our business winning activities.

You will be particularly involved in the development of winning proposals, creating marketing material and drafting customer presentations. The successful candidate will also provide support to the Communications and Exhibition teams. This is a fantastic opportunity which has arisen due to company expansion and growth and offers the individual an opportunity to join an exciting new era in BAE System's Maritime Services business, supporting some of the most advanced warships in the world. This is a 1 year fixed term contract with the potential to become permanent over time.

AS CREATIVE DESIGNER YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INVOLVE:

Being responsible for identifying and developing innovative creative media ideas and content in support of Business Winning activities.

Seeking out opportunities and capturing photos and videos of BAE Systems products and capabilities and producing high quality edits for use in marketing material.

Providing creative solutions and support to the Communications department for internal and external publications and events.

Preparing proposal material in various specialist formats to the requirements of the Bid/Proposal Manager.

Developing marketing collateral and customer presentations in support of exhibitions and events. Championing the BAE Systems Brand guidelines.

Working with internal customers to define requirements and to develop graphic directions concepts, and specifications for assigned task.

Planning production schedules for the various steps in the design process.

Providing advice to bid team members of the most effective manner of visually communicating their ideas, data and solution concepts.

Ensure that specialist skills are kept up to date, learning new techniques keeping abreast of technological advances.

Constantly investigating new, better and more cost effective solutions to customer requirements.

AS CREATIVE DESIGNER YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS WILL IDEALLY INCLUDE:

Preferably Degree educated in a creative discipline or qualified by experience

Essential software knowledge:

- Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Photographic and Video, including Adobe Premiere/After Effects
- Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint

Skills:

- Capable of filming High Definition video and photography to a professional standard.
- Experience and high level of competency in, using Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects and other supporting applications.
- Able to draw up storyboards with the customer and produce the finished project using whatever medium is agreed suitable for the audience.
- Use visual effects and treatments on both videos and photography to enhance and improve the experience.
- Experience in the management of complex creative projects across a wide range of mediums.
- Significant experience in the development of creative ideas in support of business winning.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across internal boundaries.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

£25,000 +

There will be an Assessment Centre with a practical element for you to demonstrate your experience of videography, video editing, photography and/or graphics.
