Contract Data Architect - Glasgow

Tier One Financial Markets Organisation seeks a Contract Data Architect for 6 months initially, who can provide technical data architecture expertise, vision, direction and assistance across a wide spectrum of data centric technologies and environments with a specific focus in data architecture. The role holder will engage across project teams, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure business projects and data models/designs are delivered in line with the agreed enterprise data architecture policies, principles and standards.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate proven depth in developing and maintaining enterprise data models, roadmaps, frameworks, policies and principles. Candidates will have a proven track record of delivering data and technology solutions to business needs and projects, and be comfortable delivering within an SOA and file/batch technical environment. To quickly apply a combination of technical and commercial thinking as part of their day to day role. 

This is a deeply technical role, and candidates will need to demonstrate a pragmatic, delivery-focussed approach to technology change. The candidate will be able to articulate technology architecture from the infrastructure, through data, and to all application tiers. The successful candidate will be comfortable in fast growing and complex environments, and be able to move effortlessly between strategic topics and pragmatic problem solving required to meet immediate business needs within the data architecture arena.
