1. Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the activities and plans a of the SI's and 3rd party vendors by monitoring progress and ensuring all issues are well understood and documented between all involved parties.
- Monitor delivered and realised benefits as the project progresses.
- Working with the Programme Manager to plan the project and monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
- Manage and motivate the Project team members.
- Ensure the delivery of the project is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and in accordance with the project plan.
- Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the project.
- Manage third party contributions to the project as appropriate.
- Communicate with all stakeholders.
- Working with the Programme Manager and other Project Managers to ensure the dependencies and the interfaces between projects are documented and tere are not gaps between these projects.
- Manage and documents the risks to the project's successful outcome.
- Report progress of the programme at regular intervals to the Programme Manager and key stakeholders.
- Hold regular meetings between all project parties to ensure all issues are understood, documented and all parties are aware of the progress.
- Follow up on all issues with design and development to build and testing.
- Defines requirements and plan project life cycle deployment.
- Defines resources and schedule for project implementation.
- Efficiently identifies strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
- Plans and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
- Directs and oversees project 3rd party vendors, technical teams and users groups and manages conflicts within these groups.
- Demonstrates leadership to define requirements for project risk.
- Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services and vendors.
- Lead technical evaluations of Vendors Responses
- Maintains technical and project documentation.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
2. Skills/Attributes Required
- Experience of managing multiple parties including Engineering Teams and Third Party vendors in technologically innovative enterprise solutions.
- Experience in the design and interfacing of an Avid and VizRT based production and newsroom systems.
- The ability to manage dives teams.
- Understand resource allocation procedures.
- Project scheduling experience.
- Ability to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project team.
- Able to communicate at all levels with culturally dives key stakeholders and project participants.
- Good knowledge of MS Project.
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent Documentation control
3. Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in the broadcast industry.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Project Management of the delivery of a tapeless broadcast systems, workflows & processes
