COMPUTING HELPDESK ADVISER (CONTRACT)

We are looking for a Computing Helpdesk Adviser to join the busy Which? Computing Helpdesk team for a 6-month fixed term contract. The team offers a respected technical support service to the readers of Which? Computing, the UK's top selling computer magazine. You will be dealing with wide-ranging queries via phone and email, including buying advice and guidance on hardware and software.  We'll expect you to provide well-informed, straightforward answers in a calm and friendly manner. From time to time you may also be asked to produce copy for the magazine as well as online, ensuring we're covering the topics that matter most to our readers.

The role calls for a complementary mix of customer service skills and technical expertise. Good knowledge of popular software products is essential, such as MS operating systems and Office, as well as security programs, web browsers, computing peripherals and home networking.  A keen sharer of knowledge you need the skills to communicate complex ideas to readers in plain language, while also providing in-depth answers to more advanced users with complex problems.
