Computer Vision Engineer Job

COMPUTER VISION ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SAN DIEGO, CA.

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Familiarity with the state of the art in computer vision research with emphasis in Structure-from-Motion and SLAM methods.

What You'll Be Doing:
- You will be working on a small team to quickly create mobile application prototypes for new use cases
- Helping to define and develop user experiences that delight the customer
- Finding ways to make things work that weren't designed to be that way

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Familiarity with the state of the art in computer vision research with emphasis in Structure-from-Motion and SLAM methods.
- Point Cloud generation using SfoM, formats, cloud processing and rendering background
- Knowledge of OpenGL, PCL, OpenCV or similar libraries and toolkits
- Strong mathematical background (3D geometry, linear algebra, numerical methods, algorithms, optimization)
- Prior experience with phase unwrapping techniques, camera and projector calibration, noise reduction, 3d rendering, filtering and high performance concurrent code development
- Multi-threaded development. Familiarity with optimization technologies such as TBB and Cuda
- Object Oriented programming and architecture patterns
- Three (3) + years of solid industry experience or equivalent academic credentials/experience (BS/MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent)
- One (1)+ years dedicated to Android or iOS is preferred - especially working in native development (NDK/JNI)
- Embedded development experience is nice to have (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc)
- Desire to learn new technologies and solve difficult problems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment is helpful

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Git/GitHub and managing code on multiple branches is helpful
