Commercial Officer (SC Clearance Mandatory)

I am looking to hire a Commercial Officer for our Defence sector client

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ADDITIONAL INFO:

This role sits within a 5-man commercial team delivering the above contractual and commercial outputs, working within a small project team led by a Navy Commodore. No staff responsibilities. Staff hierarchy 2 x B2 (Grade 7) members of staff, 1 x C1 (SEO), 1 x C2 (HEO).

The main objective of this role is to support the B2 lead in the route to Contract activities necessary to deliver the FOA objective including contribution to the Statement of Requirement and contribution to the creation of a Contract agreement, liaising with stakeholders internally and externally to resolve issues and help build a robust commercial plan and contracting approach.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

Understanding of UK procurement principles and application essential, and experience of working within a procurement team to deliver business objectives.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

Understanding of Client and European Union Contracting Regulations and their application.

CIPS qualified to Level 5 desirable.

Defence experience highly desirable but not essential.
