Commercial Officer

My client is a defence organisation seeking a commercial officer. SC clearance is likely to be advantageous.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Commercial Officer with responsibility to ensure that the Delivery Team's contractual interests and value for money objectives are secured at all times. Reports to Senior Commercial Officer (SCO). Provides Lead Commercial support to numerous CAT C and D Projects. Other key activities include: - providing sound commercial guidance and advice to DT colleagues and Project Managers in relation to all other Projects within the DT as required and/or directed by the SCO.

All advice to be compliant with current Legislation and Corporate Policy;
- Liaison with Subject matter experts as required such as IPR, Legal, Partnering and CAAS representatives.

The post holder will also partake in all other required commercial activities such as:
- Performance management of commercial arrangements
- Pricing activity and negotiation;
- Contract and commercial documentation drafting;
- Support to the SCO.
