My client, a leading automotive manufacturer based in Gaydon, Warwickshire, is looking to recruit a CAE Analyst for their Vehicle Engineering division on a long term contract basis.

Position:CAE Analyst

Position Description:
CAE Analyst within the Vehicle Dynamics Analysis team. Day-to-day tasks will be guided by the Vehicle Dynamics attribute team leader. These will include MBS model build, correlation to physical test data, model development, conducting virtual testing of the vehicle using standard events and procedures, analysing results, documenting and presenting the results to the team and identification of possible mitigation actions for issues which fail targets.

Skills Required:
Good team-working ability and a proactive approach to problem solving. A methodical and data-driven attitude. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). The ability to self-manage workload to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, robustly and on-time. Experience of vehicle dynamics theory or a strong motivation to learn and develop these skills.

Skills Preferred:
Previous utilisation of MBS modelling software packages is preferred (eg SIMPACK or ADAMS), but training will be provided since essential for role. Knowledge of suspension system types and vehicle chassis componentry.

Experience Required:
Proven successful delivery of engineering projects, as part of a team, which meet target in terms of timing, performance and quality.

Experience Preferred:
Multi-body simulation (MBS) experience.

Education Required:
Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering preferred but will accept other candidates providing they have the required skills and experience.
