CAD Engineer

Our client is the leading computer manufacturing company seeking a CAD Engineer to be part of developing the common library seed symbols. These symbols will adhere to the newly formed BKM targeted at servicing the needs of multiple business units in a common symbol. Once implemented on designs, reuse opportunities across schematic and layouts will become achievable without the need for manual updates/modifications of design collateral.

Daily Responsibilities:

The CW will work closely with a senior member of the CAD team to understand the BKM in addition to the requirements that must be adhered to when building the library symbols in order to constitute a completion status with the required quality level. A list of symbols that must be built will be provided with an understanding of the desired turnaround time of completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of related work experience (Senior level preferred)
- Must be proficient in Cadence Part Developer (v16.5 or later) with an understanding of the inner workings of Concept and Allegro with respect to library creation and maintenance methods
- CAD experience and skills required
- Board Design experience preferred
- Electrical Engineering background
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Schematics experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in documenting work in a clear and concise manner
