Business Planning and Scheduling Specialist

Summary

This is a newly created opportunity based in Horsham, West Sussex with the global leader in the provision of drug development related supply chain services. We are seeking an experienced planner, forecaster and scheduler with expertise in queue management and change implementation. The company are the global leader in their field and operates a highly complex and sophisticated operating environment for processing projects. This role is offered on a 12 month contract basis working on the company payroll with full company benefits.

The Company

The company is the global market leader in the provision of international supply chain services to the pharmaceutical drug development sector. They provide a modular range of services including the packaging, labelling and distribution of drugs that are being used in clinical trial programs. The company have a highly controlled, complexed and sophisticated operation that provides the services on an individual drug focused project basis.

The Role
This role is within the Scheduling group which consists of 4 people and focusses on driving and implementing change in the demand planning, capacity planning and scheduling processes. This will involve analysis of demand for resources based on present and future business needs, identifying potential and actual bottlenecks, implementing queue management processes, participating in scheduling, and overall, ensuring a robust demand management process is in place that will meet client and operational goals. Inherent in supporting this will be monitoring monthly revenues, forecasting, queuing theory and capacity analysis. This is a varied role and will require leading cross Matrix teams to drive and implement change.

Benefits

This role is offered on a 12 month contract basis working on the company payroll, In addition to a competitive salary to £42,000, our client offers an annual bonus (dependent on performance), private health cover and contributory pension scheme. Experience

We are seeking a scheduling, planning and forecasting specialist with specific queue analysis and management expertise who has a demonstrable record of successfully driving change. Your experience will have been gained in strategic planning, forecaster and scheduling however the client is very open minded regarding the sector as the application of the principals is of prime importance. Supply Chain related experience would be an advantage however these can be supply chains in their broadest sense.
