Business Objects Consultant (Support Manager)

JOB TITLE: BUSINESS OBJECTS CONSULTANT (SUPPORT MANAGER)

LOCATION: MANCHESTER

CONTRACT: 9 MONTHS (WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSION)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The BO SME will be required to support and contribute to the delivery of the ODM/PNRGov release of Semaphore. In addition he/she will perform BAU tasks for NBTC with respect to their Business Object Universes as described in the deliverables

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE TO:

- Ad hoc report development, production and QA review for key stakeholders
- Regular reports:
- Match vs Multi-match
- Profile vs Watchlist
- How alerts are generated or not even when sub-system status implies alert
- Passenger details - how they differ by manifest and delivery mechanism
- Measures and derived attributes - Advise on best practice regarding performance and analysis of indexing requirements needing to be applied to the Semaphore Data Warehouse
- Development, testing, documentation and deployment of new Business Objects Universe objects as needed.
- Deliverables as required for the ODM/PNRGov Semaphore release

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Significant Business Object experience
- Experience of working with BO in a Government operational environment
- Experience of working between multiple Government departments.
- Senior stakeholder management skills
- Managing major suppliers and supplier relationships
