Business Manager, Network, Messaging, Customers - Luxembourg

BACKGROUND:
My client, a leading banking organisation involved in settlement, clearing and custody, is looking for a Business Manager to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, of the bank's (electronic messaging) link to the domestic market customers.

TASKS:

Strong involvement in Network Management projects.

Relationships with sub-custodians and cash correspondent banks;

Monitoring of changes (legal, tax, market infrastructure), analysis and communication internally and to customers;

Internal reference for escalation of issues and resolution/negotiation;

Gain ownership of the bank's link to the domestic market (all custody-and cash-related aspects) and pro-actively improve through analysis, review and proposal for changes;

Propose and develop new link-related products, up to implementation;

On-going monitoring of the service providers through structured performance measurement.

SKILLS:

Min 10 years experience in post trading industry and good global overview of the  clearing, settlement or custody business;

Knowledge of CSD/ICSD (International Centralised Securities Depositary) systems and applications architecture framework;

Deep knowledge in any of the following: settlement, Asset Servicing (income, Corporate Actions, Tax), funds, collateral management, cash (COBM

Knowledge of ISO15022 and ISO20222 SWIFT messaging;

Previous experience as a Project Manager in investment banking, stock exchange or an ICSD (International Centralised Securities Depositary or similar, eg. Crest, Euroclear, Clearstream, Euronext, NYSE, LCH Clearnet, Chicago Board of Trade, SWIFT etc) will be a plus, ideally in the messaging/electronic link ( bridge ) area.

Language: English is essential. French or German are not essential, but any knowledge will be a plus.
