Business Analyst | Service Management

Our client is seeking an experienced ITSM BUSINESS ANALYST to undertake the analysis, requirements gathering, selection, development and delivery of integrated solutions for large and complex projects and programs.

Reporting to the Project Manager you will work with external service provider specialists to define requirements/services, design and implement a new ITIL based IT Service Management and Asset Management system.

Your duties:

- Support service providers and key stakeholders to transition Incident, Problem, Change and Asset Management business practices to new best practice ITIL v 3 processes supported by the selected ITSM and Asset Management Solutions
- Support the definition of data fields and processes required to collect accurate asset related information including hardware and software data
- Assist in the development and review of policies and processes for the new system
- Analyse business requirements and functional specifications using context diagram and process models that support key business processes and systems
- Workshop facilitation
- Communicate with system developers to evaluate proposed system solutions
- Prepare system and UAT plans and scripts and work with the Test Manager to ensure delivery of quality systems

Your background:

- Extensive experience in implementing ITIL 3 based processes in relation to incident management, problem management, change management and asset management
- Knowledge and experience in the definition and implementation of ITSM services, processes and service catalogue and fulfilment process
- Experience in the implementation of software and hardware asset management business analyst role
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- The ability to develop business requirements from abstract briefs and preparing functional specifications with complex or large information systems
- Demonstrated experience in business process models such as BPMN, Visio or System Architect
- Experience in software testing tools such as MQC, QTP
