BUSINESS ANALYST

- 6 MONTH CONTRACT
- WEALTH MANAGEMENT/SUPERANNUATION LEGISLATION EXPERIENCE

As the Business Analyst your role is to gather information, document and analyse business needs and requirements to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes. Liaises with stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organisation, and to recommend and provide innovative solutions for IT systems.

Your responsibilities:

- Business analysis planning and monitoring to determine which activities are necessary in order to identify relevant stakeholders, select appropriate techniques and processes to manage requirements and provide constant assessment of progress.
- Gather, organise and synthesize large amounts of information from various sources.
- Working with stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns and the environment that they operate in.
- Ensure actual needs opposed to stated or superficial needs are addressed and adhered to.
- Identifying and defining business needs and problems/issues and defining and developing a feasible solution scope
- Effectively communicating requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and project team members remain in agreement on solution scope.
- Assessing and documenting the current state of business to identify and recommend improvements and verification and validation of resulting requirements.
- Contributing to conversion of business needs into functional designs.
- Identifying and managing gaps, determining the effectiveness of proposed solutions and developing Business Requirements documents and models.
- Work closely with stakeholders and change management to identify impacts to business processes as a result of system or application changes.

Experience required:

- 3 years business analysis or process improvement experience
- Financial services experience
- Appropriate software life cycle and/or applications skills, expertise and experience
- Experience working on technology enables projects
- Understanding of BABOK® Knowledge Areas
- IT or business qualification
- Experience working on legislative change or compliance projects
