Business Analyst - Data Quality Project

Our Federal Government client is looking to engage the services of a Business Analyst to provide services to a project to introduce an Enterprise Data Quality Management Framework.

The project will include process necessary to deliver high quality, fit for purpose data management capability, planning and governance across the Enterprise, as well as supporting the transfer and management of data.

The 3 core activities for the project are;

- populating the core data model
- populating the supplementary data model
- documenting data standards and ongoing quality governance

The position will report to the Project Manager of the Enterprise Data Quality Management Framework project and will be responsible for all analysis for the procurement of software, documenting business rules, providing assistance with any additional documentation, system analysis, workshops with stakeholders to identifying data holdings, data frameworks and assist with change management.

THE BUSINESS ANALYST WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

FACILITATION AND DOCUMENTATION - Conduct and facilitate workshops with business areas aimed at determining data holdings and business responsibilities for ongoing data quality. Investigate and document the functionality of the technologies which can be used in meeting business needs.

PROVIDE BA EXPERTISE TO PROJECTS - provide quality BA skills within a defined scope to tight time frames for a project to support client's business deliverables.

The BA must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

- Proven experience in Business analysis
- Proven experience in supporting Business stakeholders
- Well-developed analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven success in problem solving and contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Ability to research and understand the business context; to overcome knowledge disadvantage and clearly identify the business driving objectives and forces.
- Experience in gathering, documenting, analysing, managing, verifying, organising, and communicating business requirements.
- Go-Getter and Can-Do attitude.

Highly desired:

- Exposure to relevant technologies including SQL and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of ETL processes.
- Understanding domain mapping and modelling.
- Experience working in a small team using an Agile methodology.
- Experience with Business Intelligence reporting.
