A busy Glasgow based organisation is looking for a Business Analyst on a contract basis to help lead business partners define business project scope, requirements and workflows. This role is focused around business process.

Main Responsibilities:

- Analyse business and user needs, document requirements and business process flows as related to assigned process development or process improvement projects.
- Plan and lead the requirement analysis portion of a project, working closely with a lead project manager.
- Build an extensive knowledge of the business operation in order to analyse current work procedures and practices.
- Communicate with systems analysts to explain business requirements. Will participate in some systems analysis design sessions to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
- May lead business partners in developing user acceptance test cases.
- Investigate, evaluate and report alternative solutions to business needs and recommend the preferred solutions
- Guide and advise less experienced Business Analysts.

Experience/Qualifications Required:

- Bachelors degree in business, finance, information management or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of business analysis work preferably in insurance or financial services sector.
- Experienced in the analysis and interpretation of business requirements across all aspects of transacting insurance or financial services business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Analysis and support of the production of project proposals or business cases.
- Demonstrate a proven understanding of business process re-engineering.
- Business Analysis techniques such as process modelling, root cause analysis, data modeling, process mapping and traceability are very desirable.
- Ability to travel.
