BI Project Manager

My client, one of the leading Telecom operators in Belgium, is looking for a BI Project Manager who will be responsible for the planning, monitoring and execution of the Business Intelligence projects.

Characteristics of these Projects are:

Scope has to be defined clearly.
Possible impact on Legacy systems and on processes, incl change mgmt.
Dependencies are usually within the same organization and/or IT related
High stakes for the department, LT level stakeholders.
Projects will be executed in strong partnership with Data Architecture, BI Solutions, BI Business and the Business Offices.
Strict project governance is needed.

Responsibilities:

- Facilitate scope and budget discussions
- Translate a scope into clear deliverables, solution and planning
- Ensure project execution, steer cross functional teams towards deliverables. Manage dependencies within the project and with other initiatives.
- Risk Management
- Lead the project team to define different scenarios and solutions, taking into account multiple constraints and opinions/visions.
- Stakeholder management (including change & conflict management, expectation mgmt. & alignment up to LT level)
- Report indirectly to the overall program manager
- leading the teams to deliver future proof BI solutions taking into account different expectations and respecting guidelines set by the Data Architecture team,
- coordinating and execute all phases in the entire project life cycle, especially with regard to analysis, delivery, testing, default resolution and roll out to the Business Offices (in case of new reports/dahsboards).

Experience:

- You must understand the business and industry.
- You should have a strong background in Business Intelligence (BI). Experience with structured project management methodologies is a plus.
- Stakeholder management and perception management
- Excellent influencing, negotiation & communication skills
- Ability to align cross functional stakeholders
- Ability to build trust and an open and transparent working climate
- High "get it done" & mobilization capabilities
