Automotive Video Algorithm Designer

Seeking an Automotive Video Algorithm designer to work in Buckinghamshire. Salary £35,000-£45,000.

This new team is responsible for the development of key technologies to accelerate the development cycle of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS); an exciting and expanding area for the automotive market with many emerging applications for FPGAs. Your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

* Developing next generation video processing algorithms for ADAS applications such as stereo vision, lane detection, object detection, pedestrian detection and motion estimation
* Application of software and/or hardware design skills to develop and deliver optimized, highly parameterisable ADAS signal processing functions
* Developing innovative image processing solutions to enable our customers' rapid development of complex FPGA based System-On-Chip ADAS designs

* This includes defining and demonstrating software/hardware partitioning methodologies

* Developing reference designs, such as sensor fusion and surround view camera systems, to demonstrate the design flow and silicon capabilities
* Application of new FPGA tool flows such as OpenCL and model based FPGA design to the driver assist market
* Defining tool, IP and silicon requirements to drive development in other groups within the Altera organization to support future ADAS trends

To be considered for this role you should have the following:

* An exceptional academic background is essential, with a minimum upper second class degree (2.1) in Computer Science, or an equivalent technical subject, from a leading university
* Strong hands on development skills in C/C++
* Strong background in mathematics and proven video algorithm design skills
* Experience of video system design and exposure to hardware description languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL).
