Assembly Support Technician

The ASSEMBLY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN will be responsible for helping other technicians with assembly of an automated imaging machine. They should be well versed in mechanical assembly as well as have some basic electrical and controls skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Maintenance and troubleshooting of all AIS devices, electrical, mechanical, and controls
- Development and maintenance of good working relationships across all levels in the organization

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Lifting and moving totes up to 49 pounds each
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Occasionally pushing and pulling wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during site visits
- Engagement in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
- Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned

OPERATION SUPPORT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE:

- Promoting and practicing good housekeeping practices
- Dedication to supporting production by working in a safe, customer focused manner
- Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Light industrial assembly
- Electrical and electronic principles
- Industrial controls
- Industrial PC literacy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 4 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- Ability to manage, lead, and influence others on the team
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
