Edelway SA is a Swiss IT Services Consultancy. One of our best clients, a global Bank based in Geneva, is currently looking for an AS400 Engineer with UNIX knowledge, to join them on a long term basis.

Start Date: ASAP. Within one month from offer.
Working language: English.

THE ROLE

*Monitor and maintain infrastructures for all customers in EMEA and Asia, and work with vendors to resolve complex hardware/software issues.
*Take internal escalations.
*Mentoring and working as part of a close knit team.
*Demonstrate leadership in attitude and demeanor.
*Troubleshoot issues and work with internal customers to effectively resolve them
*Produce effective analysis on solutions.
*Be involved in pre-implementation and support of new applications.
*Works infrastructure tasks and tickets.
*Plans, implements, and supports infrastructure in Geneva Data Centers including out-of-hours on-call support.
*Works closely with DBA and Operate teams
*Work with the Global counter-parts to create, implement and maintain best practices
*Execute regularly required maintenances for patches and upgrades, etc

YOUR PROFILE

*Extensive experience in System i Management under 6.1.1
*Extensive experience in System i Security.
*Advanced Knowledge of UNIX, specifically AIX and RedHat, required.
*Advanced knowledge of VIOs on system i an asset.
*Advanced Knowledge in SAN, ideally VMAX from EMC an asset.
*Advanced experience of hardware replication an Asset.
*Advanced knowledge of BRMS an asset.
*Advanced knowledge of Pentasafe an asset.
*Advanced knowledge of MQ Series messaging an asset.
*Advanced knowledge of NDM asset.
*Advanced knowledge of SFTP an asset.
*Advanced knowledge of Robot Scheduler an asset.
