THE ROLE:
In order to accelerate the move towards Digital in the Media/OTT space, we are urgently looking for an experienced Hands on Architect, with relevant and proven experience in the Media (IP)TV, Apps & Web) environment.
He/she will be a member of the Media Domain Architecture Squad which will be composed of Domain architects coming from different subject matter expertise.
MAIN TASKS:
- Collaborate to define the architectural blueprint that is needed to realize the Media roadmap. Your inputs will focus on the media aspects but you are also expected to think and act along the Group interests and guidelines. For this, you will closely interact with the Enterprise Architects and Domain architects
- Contribute to the already defined (short term) Media roadmap and fine-tune architectural view.
- Assess - from a high level point of view - new business opportunities as expressed by business stakeholders. Agile methodology whereby high-level technical impact assessment is done and high-level cost assessment is made.
- Drive - together with the Media Architecture Squad - the architectural runway which is the technical enablers' roadmap (examples can be: micro-services enablement, authentication through Identity and Access Management, API and API Management, cross-platform development practices, digital enablers in general)
- Be an evangelist of technological innovations that accelerate the move into the Digital world.
- Challenge the existing ways of doing.
OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A HIGH-PROFILE ARCHITECT, WHO HAS
- Proven experience as an IT architect on digital media architectures.
- Is well acquainted with the different components of the Media solution at large (including IPTV, Web and Mobile Apps) or willing to learn the whole ecosystem quickly.
- Able to clearly articulate and defend his/her views on the proposed architecture. At the same time, you are open to other suggestions that enrich the architecture.
- Writes comprehensive architectural documents.
- Is enthusiastic to learn about new technologies and is actively networking to that effect. You can define innovative architectural insights and routes forward based on new insights and convince other people of the need thereof.
- Understands how the architect role fits into an agile way of working.
- Organizes and leads meetings with internal and external partners.
- Reports and communicates in a clear way, depending on the audience (business, external partners, technical teams).
- Makes decisions or supports decisions with an open mind.
EDUCATION:
- Master in IT of Industrial or Engineering Sciences or similar by experience
EXPERIENCE:
- 5-10 years professional experience in the Media environment, among which, several years working as IT architect in an agile environment. IPTV and/or Web and/or App architecture and development experience is a must.
