Application Architect/Designer (JIVE, JAVA/J2EE Development)

APPLICATION ARCHITECT/DESIGNER (JIVE, JAVA/J2EE Front End DEVELOPMENT)

The contract is with a large consultancy to be on assignment at a European site in Brussels. The client is seeking an Application Architect/Designer with specific expertise in Jive and Java/J2EE.

Tasks:

. Participate in the development of customised solutions in Jive

. Design, develop, test and maintain customised solutions in the tool with optimal usability/user experience; possibly using available plugs in.

. Provide advice and development on integration of document collaboration modules, in particular for Microsoft Office and Sharepoint

. Advice on mobile and security issues

. Produce quality code that is well documented, and in accordance with system and technical specifications.

. Liaise with other project teams as necessary to address cross-project interdependencies

SKILLS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

. Core Specific Competency in Jive in implementation and creation of sites and architecture. Current version is 7. Migration to version 8 in the medium term.

. Additional Specific Competency is Java/J2EE (solid proven experience in development)

. Solid and proven experience in Front End web-based development: HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery

. Proven knowledge of database modelling and building (MySQL, Oracle)

. Experience working in agile environments using Scrum (or similar) and via innovative/interactive techniques to engage customers during project

. Ability to cope with the fast changing technologies used in web applications management and willingness to learn new technologies with fast experimentation cycles

. Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (FR-EN). Fluent in English, as this is project team working language, conversational in French is considered as an asset.
