Analytics Consultant / Manager - Manchester - 50-60k

Urgently seeking a specialist in predictive analytics / data analytics to build and lead a new team within an industry leading technology / marketing business. This role involves full process across data analytics, including extensive data mining and data modelling through to statistical & data analysis. The analytics team will work with very large sets of offline and online data and experience in web analytics / web trends would be helpful.

This position is within an industry leading marketing firm specialising in web and telephonic advertising. They are looking to establish a new "performance insight" team.

They will consider candidates with any data analytics tool, including:

SAS / SPSS / Information Builders / Revolution or "R" Analytics / IBM / FICO / Acxiom / Predictive Analysis etc

This role will be split into two parts. Initially there will be a large period of data mining and data modelling (they will look to the successful candidate to recommend best fit tools/software), which will be used to identify key trends and relationships internally and for their existing client base.

The successful candidate will then be tasked with recruiting and managing a team of specialists to continue this work and to liaise with the companies clients to recommend business changes which can be implemented to improve performance, based on the statistical data models produced by the team.

Anyone from a web analytics background would be highly desirable, but candidates who are experienced in financial data modelling or offline data analytics would also be of interest.
